• Compact (11x11 floor packs away to 0.03 cubic meters - 14x14 floor packs away to 0.049 cubic meters)
• Rapid deployment and redeployment
• High durability
• Low maintenance

Uses for CMLF include:
• Tent Flooring
• Outdoor work areas
• Shade cloth
• Screens

Additional CMLF Characteristics
• Sand and dirt fall through the mat, to the ground beneath - without coming back up through the mat.
• As a windbreak, only a very small amount of windblown sand will pass through the mat.
• Durable – will not tear or fray, even if cut. Perfect for use under military camp furniture, equipment and stores.
• Ideal for working on or over – eg. equipment repairs
• Eyelets are positioned at frequent intervals around the perimeter of the mats to allow for easy tying of mats for shade purposes and for effective tying to join mats into multi-mat configurations.
• UV stabilisers minimise UV degradation of mats
• Non-absorbent, and will not rot or mould
• Liquid spills go through the mat
• When laid on damp ground, water does not come up through mat
• Fire retardant

The cgear mats are made from existing materials. The innovation is the use of layering. Worldwide patent protection is now in place.

Construction of the military mat comprises two layers of knitted monofilament shade-cloth sewn together with binding around the edges. Carry bag is drawstring-style and made from shade-cloth.

Forest Green, Black and Sandstone are typical colour offerings of the shade-cloth suppliers. A customised colour range is possible for volume production runs.

Production samples sized specifically to fit the two standard Australian Army issue tents (i.e.. 3.7x3.4m for the 11’x11’ tent and 4.2x4.2m for the 14’x14’ tent).

Eyelets are brass with black oxide treatment as per those on the Australian army tents.
