What is a CGear Multi Mat?
CGear Multimat is a dual layer dust abatement mat that stops dust and dirt transfer from outside to inside your tent, caravan or camper trailer.

What is the CGear Multi Mat warranty?
The CGear Multimat warranty is 12 Months from date of purchase and original receipt is required, and should be returned to the point of purchase. This is a manufactures warranty i.e. faulty sewing and or material.

What Is CGear Multi Mat made from?
High density polyethylene knitted mono/mono and fully bound all the way around the mat and peg pointed approx every half meter.

Is CGear Multi Mat made of shade cloth?
No, shade cloth is more open weave, slippery wet or dry; is not rip stopped, also curls at the edges and difficult to peg down-due to no peg points.

Can I put tent pegs through the mat?
Yes, CGear Multi Mat is rip stopped, it won’t tear or frey if you put a hole in it.

What if I rip the mat, is it repairable?
Yes, CGear Multimat can be repaired with polyester thread.

Do I have to peg the mat down to the ground?
Yes, the CGear Multimat is peg pointed approx every half meter
and is designed to be pegged for maximum efficiency.

Does it matter what side of mat is up?
All but one CGear Multmat is fully reversible so you have a choice of colour.
(The small 1.8mt X 2.4mt CGear Multi Mat Is green/ green and PVC reinforced so not really reversible.)

Will camp furniture damage the mat.?
All good camp furniture has leg protectors or loop legs to protect from damage.

I have dog/dogs will their nails harm the mat?
No, the CGear Multimat is very robust.

What about mud?
Mud left on top of the CGear Multimat will dry out return to dust and dissipate through the mat back to the ground.

What things can’t I do with my CGear Multimat?

1. You cannot lose lay CGear Multimat over hard surfaces i.e. concrete and other hard surfaces unless the CGear Multimat can be pegged down firmly
2. Wear leather sole shoes on the CGear Multi Mat.

What if I rip or tear my mat will that weaken it.?
No, the CGear Multimat is rip stop, it won’t run or frey.

The mat seems to be slippery.
This would indicate that the CGear Multimat has not been pegged out hard enough, that’s why it appears to be slipping, or you’re wearing leather sole shoes.       

What if I accidently pour petrol or oil on the mat.?
That’s ok, the CGear Multimat is petro chemical friendly and won’t harm or melt the CGear Multimat.

What if a spark or ash from a cigarette lands on the mat?
You will get a burn hole in either one or both the layers of your CGear Multimat and it will reseal.

Will the mat kill the grass?
No, the CGear Multimat breaths it won’t kill the grass, and grass will grow through the CGear Multimat.  unlike tarps, carpet, and dome tent bases they will because the air can’t get to the ground and they sweat.

What if i pack the mat up when it’s wet?
The CGear Multimat is non pouris and doesn’t absorb moisture and won’t mould or mildew like other products?
Give the mat a shake to get excess moisture of the CGear Multi Mat, fold place CGear Multi Mat in its bag then move on. All good campers will hang wet items out to dry properly when they get home.

Can I use the mat for shade?
Yes, the CGear Multi Mat is 90% up

Can I drive my car over the mat?
Yes, this won’t harm the CGear Multi Mat.

What about Bindie Eye?
Through the experience of this rep who camps along the Murray in New South Wales, have never had to pull bindies from the gear Multi Mat (Only the dogs paws)

Why doesn’t the sand rise to the top of the mat?
This is due to the dual layers and the law of gravity. The sand and dirt won’t rise to the top of the CGear Multimat because the multiple layers create too much resistance, unlike single layer mats there is no resistance and won’t stop sand and dirt transfer into the tent, caravan or camper trailer.

Does the mud rise through the mat?
From this reps experience the mud tends not to rise through to the top of CGear Multimat. The reasons see the previous question

Will I still have to sweep when I go away camping.?
With the CGear Multimat sweeping is kept to a minimum,
Again the experience of this rep is best trip yet 6 days without Sweeping Out The caravan. however my wife will sweep the mat to remove leaves and twigs.

Will it keep me dry?
No, it will allow the rain to fall through the mat.

Can I use the CGear Multi Mat over my trailer?
Yes, it will stop your load falling off, it won’t buff or flap around when your travel due to the wind travels strait through the mat.

Does it come in a bag.?
Yes, the CGear Multimat comes in a reusable, breathable, heavy duty carry bag with handles.

Do the edges curl up.?
No the CGear Multimat is bound all the way around the mat.

Can you wash the Mat.?
Yes, you can hose it down, jet wash it and even use detergent

What can I use the mat to wash my CGear Multi Mat with?
Yes, you can use a hose and a mild detergent. For the more stubborn stains, we recommend you use a high pressure wash, it won’t harm the CGear Multimat. 

Does the sand and dust get caught between the layers?
No, if the dust, dirt or sand particles fall through the top layer of the CGear Multimat they will fall through the second layer onto the ground.

What not to drop on the CGear Multimat?
Do not drop any liquid that contains acid tone (e.g. Nail polish) as it will place a whole in the material, but won’t fray as it has rip stop technology

Can you hang the CGear Multimat on the side of the caravan as shade
and will it affect the life span of the mat?
Yes you can hang on the side of the caravan and it has 90% UV protection so it will not affect the life span.
